Morale issues! Serious flaw!

I understand morale and the basic fundamentals. However what is beyond my comprehension is another player even though he is game admin having the ability to flip territories to him even if those territories have fortifications and units stationed in them. I am just building structures for him and armies to boot. This is a serious flaw. The question is why fight at all? Just sit and take territories that others have fought hard to win. I have spent a lot of money in this game but if someone cannot give me a reasonable explanation of this unfair and unacceptable game mechanic then I have no choice but to permanently withdraw and advise my other friends to do the same.

Not trying to be negative, but I don't think you understand morale. When a province gets to 32% the rebellion percentage is low and when it gets to 35% is gone. Keeping units in your newly captured territories raises the morale, as building fortresses raises it 5% per level. When you are a peace with someone, if they have units in a neighboring province and you don't have any, they exert their morale on your territory. Something you may not see either; using spies for Economic Sabotage will lower the morale and may negate anything you have going in that territory. If you don't have counter intelligence spies in those territories, you would never know. In one game a player took over close to 300 provinces over the period of a week, he was at war with 11 countries and didn't move his capital. He couldn't get the morale above 20% in those territories and it was as low as 0% to 10% in the far reaches of their empire. We were allies and at peace, and I was trying to help him reinforce his lines, but as a result my forces were having the provinces rebel to my country. And that caused a ripple effect to the tune of about 120 provinces. It created a large "no mans land" because of the 2 or 3 country change, it wiped out all the buildings in those provinces. This game is not all about Units (its not risk or chess), its about economy, morale and diplomacy also, and they all tightly weave together. You have to manage all four or you will fail.

Er... I think you mean rebellions? They happen to everyone, not just you or the game admin.

So your saying if I build level 3 or 4 fortress with at least 2 or 3 units in each locale it wont flip and to that I say bullocks as I have already lost multiple provinces with above mentioned units inside fortified positions. The morale issue is a flaw as this is a war game not a sim building game. You are penalized for fighting and while others are rewarded with your spoils of war simply by being close and by that doesnt nescarrily mean on their border as it is flipping provinces 2 to 3 provinces behind border territories. Flipping islands too.

The reason provinces flip is because of rebellions, having a small army of infantry may not be enough to quell a rebellion. There is a difference between the chance of a rebellion, and it actually happening. Even with the aforementioned buildings and troops, there is still a percent chance that an uprising will occur, if the morale is low enough. I've had times where there would be a low chance of a rebellion happening, but it still happened, and my province went to my ally. It's basically chance, like rolling a die. If you're lucky, and take necessary precautions, chance of rebellion will be lower.

No it's not a sim game or even Farmville. I attach some screen shots for a province I have half way around the world (4.5 days) from my capital. I show you Khaibar for a reason and you may look for this, the morale in that province is stable. If the morale starts going down, then I know someone (friend or foe) is using Espionage (Economic) to lower it. I then have to put counter-intelligence spy(s) there to negate what they are doing. One thing that helps me get to stable is my overall morale is at 82%. I attach my morale from a 100 player game played before where it is sub 60%, that didn't help it. This game is designed as a WWII game, where you can declare war on 1 or 2 countries without penalty. Its not Call of War 2000 where you can land troops everywhere and battle without a declaration of war. My guess is that you are missing out (because there is no way to really see it unless you have done it) on Economic Espionage spies in those provinces.

he probably has to many enemies. Having a few wars is devastating for province morale if they are far away from the capital.

I am currently finishing a game where I conquered Asia, Africa and Europe. A few days left and it will be over (100 Player map.)

In my experience, if you want decent morale levels:

No more than 3 countries against you in war under any circumstance.

When the empire starts to really grow, relocate your capital to the center of the map.

Always conquer the enemy provinces and leave the capital for the last so you can have the 10% morale bonus in all your new provinces.

Start building fortifications in your farthest provinces, specially those who produce grain.
