My message notifications wont go away...

It's the same in both chrome and Internet Explorer. Refreshing the browser or restarting it doesn't help. Clicking the message temporarily removes it. But once I close the message menu the game seems to forget which messages I have read. Very old messages can suddenly appear unread. If I delete the 'unread' ones, new ones will appear. Highly annoying.

I did a bug report.

And yes, my browser is slow, because I keep way too many matches of CoW open at the same time.

But I have a very nice broadband connection and nothing else is slow or lagging...

Well, I don't know. Just wait until you get answered.

Check and make sure you don't have any unread messages. Check and make sure you don't have any trade requests unanswered. When you go thru your messages click on the field where you would type so the system knows you saw the message. Same thing happens to me and if its not from a trade request clicking the message field works.
