No provinces, lots of points.

How can a country retain its points after loosing all provinces?

I defeated an opponent, took over all his provinces (he was annoying). But I dont get the points. The original owner still has the points.

What am I missing (besides the points)?

What if I'm indoctrinated and actually fighting the good guys?

You should get the points at daychange.

The number of provinces is updated immediately.

So I assumed the points would be too. Never make assumptions.
