What is happening with this game? I am playing v1.5, I select a unit, mouse click so I can issue a command, and nothing happens. You have to do multiple clicks, no response, or selects all your units, makes them move when you don't want them to. Even more annoying is if you are trying to select patrolling aircraft, it moves them or gives them a command which interrupts the patrol, re-starting the timer.
Is this a known issue. It is impacting my enjoyment of this game.
Since the implementation of enhanced graphics a few months ago, I have had issues that my screen freezes after been about 15 minutes on line. A computer re-start or shutdown seems to clean the cache for me. I would write bug report if issue remains with you ... 
I have not seen any frequent reports on this issue. I expect you may have a sticky button on your mouse, or possibly your keyboard Ctrl key is locked on or stuck.
Some computer settings allow you to click the ctrl key once and it will “ stick” on until you toggle it again. This could cause this issue.
