Nuclear Bomber issue

I just sent out 2 nuclear bombers at the same time. There was no damage to the other persons troops and it says that my bomber was destroyed by itself over a different province. There is no mention of it even hitting its target. I spent a lot of time and resources researching and getting up to this point. I'm very disappointing and probably just got myself into a war I can't win because nothing happened.
