What the heck is going on with the Pacific map research timeline? Are the developers tinkering with the timeline for when new levels of weapons are available? As of today, for example, the timeline now shows that level 4 tactical bombers are not available until Day 36, but we are playing a game on Day 31, and the research for level 4 TBs has already been completed by several players and those level 4 TBs are already in the game in large numbers. And this is not the only weapons system affected.
This seems to be substantially more than a "bug," and I cannot imagine that our game is the only one affected. It appears that one of the programmers/developers has been intentionally tinkering with the timeline. Can someone look at this immediately? (See game no. 1565612.)

This was reported already. Following sentences are what I heard, so I am not sure if it is true.
Some time ago they changed the time when research becomes avaliable on big maps to be the same like on small maps, however that was supposed to happen only in FP maps, so when they realized the error (few days later), they changed it back. So, some things were researched in the meantime and people who missed the chance will have to wait.

Well, fortunately, we just had our big climactic battle between the two leading alliances, so the outcome in this game is probably already decided. No players should be negatively affected by the research timeline, and it will have no effect on who wins this game. I doubt that is true for all affected games. If my opponents had level 4 weapons systems already, and I had level 3 weapons with no ability to upgrade for another week, I would be some kind of pissed off right now. This represents piss-poor planning on someone's part, and is yet more evidence that the Pacific map is not yet ready for prime time.

That's unfortunate, too. The longer research timeline, especially the longer level 1 period, gave players greater opportunity to try more and different weapons systems in the first phase of the game. I would think that would be better for Bytro Labs' bottom line, too, because more players would expend gold later in the game to maintain current research of those weapons once they were invested in them. I'm not seeing a lot of well thought-out business planning or game development here. Is "Bytro Labs" a bunch of German 20-something programmers with no business or finance background? That's certainly what it looks like some days.

LOL I'm glad it did not have an impact on the game outcome, but it's Day 31 of the game I'm playing, and I currently have a bunch of Level 4 unit types for which the research is no longer available until Day 36.
Do the people running Bytro Labs wear little red rubber balls on the ends of their noses?

I wrongly assumed the thread would deal with a current problem because it had been pushed on top. Please close if the problem does not exist any more.
