Perhaps, during your hiatus you forgot that newly captured provinces should be garrisoned to keep them from rebelling and joining another nation?
Peace period bug?
Okay, so I have returned from a big hiatus and I'm testing the new updates the site has bought after I left. I joined a game on the brand-new Pacific map, with the Peace Period enabled. I selected my country, did some constructions for the beginning and set my troops to attack a neightbour AI country.
I access the respective game a few hours later and what did I see? An human player captured one of my core provinces. I wanted to send my troops there but I get the following error: "You CANNOT attack or invade HUMAN players after 14 days HAVE PASSED".
Now, this is an SERIOUS bug. I can't just let the invader attack my country without being able to fight back. This is revolting. The same conditions must be applied to ALL the HUMAN players in the game. If I cannot attack him before day 15, then he MUST NOT be ABLE to attack me before day 15.

No, I started a new game. The province that the guy attacked was one of my core provinces. I don't think it was garrisoned, but even without it, the guy shouldn't be allowed by the system to attack me before day 15.
Yes, that sounds like bugginess due to the 'enemy' player having already routed onto your province before you joined the game. Needs to be fixed. An AI peace period or (major AI nation peace period) would be an easier fix and keep this from happening. Also, retardedly long peace periods need to be indicated in game details so that I don't join these nonsense rounds inadvertently!
No, the respective player attacked my province a few hours AFTER I had joined the game. But I'm happy that you agree that this is a major bug.
