Plane green area is way off

The green area where you can move your planes has been acting really weird, I send my planes to patrol an area but the green zone is so far away from the actual place I put the patrol on, and it's not just some graphical error because my planes will actually GO BACK HOME if I give them an order near the area where they were originally patrolling.

All you have to do to recreate it is to just split a stack and send them an order to patrol and it will happen.

This always happens because of the split. To resolve this issue, don't split while "in theater" so to speak.

So basically just stop using the game feature to fix it, mannn why didn't I think of that?

It is simply the way the game works. While it is on the list of items that could be improved, it is sadly not a high priority.
