We have a technical problem. My ally and I have produced different unit types and then traded them to make maximum use of different types in combat different situations. Starting about three days ago, the drop down list for "armies" under the "new trades" function started displaying an incomplete list of his units, hampering our ability to trade specialty units. Even allowing for combined units, only about one quarter of his units display in the dropdown menu. Can one of you experts take a look at this?
I'm only playing one game currently, as the "Communist Russian" player, and my ally is the Ukrainian player.
Thanks.

I believe that the unit cannot be that person's region to be traded.

Carl, we're not trading provinces, we're trading individual military units. For example, I'm producing motorized infantry and my ally is producing SP artillery and SP anti-aircraft regiments. The problem is that my ally's dropdown list of his units within the trade menu is not displaying his complete list of military units. Can't transfer units if they're not on the list.

Units stationed in a city might not show up on the trade lists.

That's an interesting twist, Wayne. I take it that you have encountered that specific version of the problem described?

Simple enough to test:
Move one unit in and out of a city, trying trades before and after.
Not rocket science!

Thanks. We will try your experiment.

Yes, I agree with Wayne. I don't believe you can trade units when they are in your territory. That's what I meant to say. Sorry about the confusing answer.
