Racist comments directed to me

@vonlettowvorbeck keeps saying I don't know what freedom of speech is because I come from an authoritarian country. I'll quote some of his comments below

Truth be spoken: Egypt is a very corrupt country, as is for instance Romania or Central African Republic or Hungary. These are just a few examples. There is an official list from the United Nations, ranking countries on a scale of curruption even.

@AnonymeggABC1234

NO! Learn to understand what you read pls. There is context to characters in words, to the words in phrases and among the phrases.

And read again what you asked in the context of the corruption issue.

Pfffff.... Okay then....

Try to follow this:

a. You were not involved in the initiation of the poll.

b. Someone then asks the initiator (which, to be clear, was not you) if money (corruption) was involved in the selection.

c. Now...even though you were NOT involved in the initiation of the poll nor were YOU asked a question about possible 'corruption', you still asked if the question was about you...

The conclusion of any NSA, FSB, AIVD, Sjin Beet or other agent or even anyone paying attention and monitoring the chat, must therefore be:

If this guy asks this, then he must have a guilty feeling!

Ergo, if he has a guilty feeling, he most likely is corrupt.

Add to that a little profiling (where is he from, what does he do, who does he have contacts with etc.) and the unmarked, black vans will quickly appear at both ends of your street, while black helicopters start circling above you dwelling...

Because that is nothing but pure logic applied there :D :D :D

Thus I never accused you of anything; you yourself did!

I merely asked a few questions...

Wow! Are Vonlettowvorbeck's remark racist now? If that's racism then I don't think that there is a word to define the type of comments made by Cecil Rhodes and TMC.

He only called your country corrupt..which is true. Though, it doesn't make sense to bring someone's nationality into a conversation to prove your point.

Does/Did anyone here play snooker/billiards?

You don't just crash one ball into another; often you will play via the cushion to hit the other ball from the right direction.

Thát is what I did, while addressing not the nationality, but the irrelevance (if not supidity) of the remark.

Hence, I was merely trying to make the person in question think.

And he did (actually...did try), but again nothing came of it.

But actually I am the dumbass: what was I thinking? Trying to improve an individual's thought processes, after he did not even get my hints about him building 5 (say: F I V E) barracks on Day 1 in his game and ofc going inactive later on?

Nevertheless, stupidty must be fought with all means available at all times.

Everyone has a (almost holy) duty to educate the lesser gifted.

If we don't, democracy is down the drain, because education already is and education (development of the masses) is one of the three pillars of democracy.

Those 3 pillars of Democracy being:

1. Rule of law; equally applied for everyone, so even an individual cannot be crushed by the State or a Corporation or just because that individual can't afford the better liar .... ehh.... lawyer.

2. Development of the masses; equal education chances and development perspectives for everyone (what one does with it is another question), bc when democracy is not understood, it will fail.

3. Social safety; no one should have existential fears, bc this will lead to extremism (extremists come into existence bc they feel they are about to lose something; often bc they are not so educated...), but it also extends to health care, care for the elderly, safe pensions, general safety (in your home/on the streets) etc.

Democracy - and notably northwestern European social-social democracy - is the only system ever that succeeded (more or less; depending on variations) in lifting up the masses.

Lets not forget that, only a few generations ago, even in 'developed countries', practically 80-90% of the population was just a factory or farm worker, getting paid too much to starve, but too little to live.

Thát is not even a 100 years ago.

every country has "corruption". it is just almost impossible to fully get rid of it especially in big countries. Because every politican has some sort of agenda, lots are usually just in it for themselves and the money or the fame and not necessarily the best interests of the country, or the people.

The way i look at it, a politician (president/pm/senators etc) should act on behalf of the people they represent. Thats what a representative goverment is. If people have the confidence that the president etc. will do what they (collectively) want them to do, there would ofc be more trust in government/politicians and less corruption.

Stay Sweet!

ad1. As clearly stated: Just examples of countries. There is no order of priority there, as far as I can see. I might as well have put CAR or Hungary first or Luxembourg, France, Italy ... literally almost any country unfortunately. Anyways, there is a ranked UN-list on this...totally 'unbiased' :saint: :saint: :saint: , as described before.

ad2. Absolutely correct. Some significantly more and more visible than others, but it is everywhere. Some countries call it 'lobbying', but that doesn't change a thing about it. How about the so called 'Beacon of democracy' where Musk paid voters? And they consider it legal.... Ouch.

ad3. Exactly. They were voted in as 'peoples' representatives'. But just like ex-PM of the Netherlands, now NATO chief Rutte, they all seem to have no 'active memory' of why they were voted in, once they are in. What I don't get is why the people who are voting, can't see which ones are the (very few) good ones. Notwithstanding those might get corrupted by power too, once they might be in power.

Concluding: there is very little hope for democracy!

And that it is why it is so important to have a good game to take your mind of things. Unfortunately, there is little hope for that either.

Pfah!!!

No racism here you douche! Corruption is not even a topic in this discussion. You assumed that he is saying you’re corrupt when no such thing was said.

Your nationality has nothing to do with this discussion. You just became mad that you lost an argument that you decided to play the race card and (attempt to) make a high-profile “racism” accusation, and when that fails you accuse him of racism again.

Some might say: “Well played!”

I say: “B.S.!!!”

Nobody on this website gives a flying fuck about your race, or your gender, or your nationality, or any of that crap. Your decision to bring race into the discussion when it did not and never had a place was what started the argument, not anything @vonlettowvorbeck said previously. Instead of rolling over and playing victim, acknowledge that the other person was right, and move on. Is that so hard to do, because "ya know ma ego it gunna hurt muh ego!"

Next time, think twice about causing a scene by playing the race card. Didn’t work out for you too well, did it?

Pls also learn the definition of 'racism' (which, btw, is a scientifical impossibility).

rac·ism

noun

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

For all intents and purposes: nobody chooses his place of birth nor his parents.

Racism is thus only a thing for the very dumbest (and scientifically an impossibility, as there is only one human race).

Then Prejudice, xenophobia etc.: this stems from lack of education.

Not withstanding that certain groups of people adhere to cultural or group 'values', which make them less tolerable than others in a modern, open, civilized society.

Take 'honor killings' for instance. Prevalent among certain groups of people adhering to a primitive clan-like culture, which can only prevail through a lack of development, which is sustained through oppression and peer group pressure.

And again, that last statement is not racism.
