Ranged unit attack not working
Since recently, attack orders by ranged units (artillery, navy, etc) are not working, especially when units should move a short distance (minutes) to start firing. The unit "pretends" to accept the order, displaying the red trajectory and everything; then when you release the mouse ("execute") the unit just stays standing still. Once it is created, it persists; issuing the same order again gives the same result. You have to give a "move" order to get in range and start firing.
Bug popped up a few weeks ago, happened maybe a dozen times for me now.

Reproduction is not clear, From my experience with this bug it has something to do either with province borders nearby, or the range that the unit has to travel before shooting. The ones that I came up with are:
1: have a ranged unit near enemy unit/enemy province center, but not in range to shoot it (~5-10km out of range if i counted correctly)
2: send the unit to shoot with the button attack command, instead of dragging the unit towards the target
If that doesn't work, try swapping first point to:
1: have a ranged unit in position, that requires moving from center province dot less than ~5-10km(if my calculations are correct) in order to shoot
(for example railroad gun from "Lenghuzhen" to "Wutumeirenxiang" in 100p map
I've experienced similar issues this past week or so. When selecting the attack option with stacks that include artillery, sometimes it chooses a path that makes no sense. Just yesterday I did this and it wanted to go thought the mountains on a path that would have taken about twice the time I wanted it to go. Eventually I had to just move it to within artillery range instead.
Same here, I didn't think much of it, but it appears that several other players were affected by this quite badly.6thDragon wrote:

Pattern is hard to find, but it occurs quite frequently (several times daily when actively playing). Here is a case in one of my current games, actually this is a pretty rare one because the distance is quite long and it DOES actually result in some movement, which it usually doesn't.
Here's the situation:

What I have just done is select the artillery 9-stack, click attack, and click he Brazilian tank to the right. The result is shown, the stack will move to the next province center but no further. Mouse-dragging the artillery to the tank also has the same result.
It is a persistant one; when I do it multiple times the result is the same each time. Reloading the game makes no difference either.
Edit - same situation, attacking a different unit with the same stack works fine:
That reads like another entirely different problem, that might be related to the map itself and perhaps the path being broken. That is usually the case if you cannot even cross the road via move command. Only strange that your armored car seems to have been able to move there.
