You can't remove an active player, just don't go onto the map and you go inactive.
Request to remove me from game as active player
This is an action request to the support staff.
PLEASE remove me as an active player from round 1565111. I requested that the game administrator do this two days ago, and received no response from him. Please remove me from the game.
Thanks.

QD, if this is automatic, how long does the system take to flip an active player to inactive? I am playing three other rounds, but this one was one too many.
Archive the round and your account will exit it after the standard inactivity time has passed.
Players cannot exit suddenly, as doing so affects the stats of any attacker and the action would be taken in all cases [ruining the stats vs player for many]
Removing a player from a round by request is not a service Game Operators can offer.

Understood, FMD. I have already archived the round. My forces were not engaged in combat, they had not previously engaged in combat, nor was conflict imminent. That said, I would like out of this round.
What is the "standard inactivity period?"
I've heard 3 days, I've heard 5, I've heard it is random.
Can we get a definitive answer from a member of the support staff, please?
the default inactivity timer is 5 days.
The map system [triggered by game admin] will not remove those still under that time.
However, if you have archived that will see you removed after the 5 days. [without game admin action]
Remember that if you log back into it you reset that countdown.

Thanks, FMD. That's a lot longer than I thought. Based on what I recalled from other games, I believed that people were going inactive after 48 to 72 hours.
That is because the diplomacy information will show a player as inactive sooner, in 2 days they will change from a tick to a circle.
However the ''remove inactives'' function of the map gives them the full 5 days and even then they remain in the round as a nation if not removed by game admin.

Interesting. If I understand you correctly, the diplomacy information screen will show a player as inactive after 48 hours, but they will not be automatically removed from the game as an active player for another 72 hours after that -- after which they may be removed and replaced. Is that right?
You made me do math
48 + 72 รท 24 = 5
Yes, after 5 days they can be removed by the game admin function ''remove inactives''MontanaBB wrote:

removed or not, after that time passes they no longer receive stats [or give ''vs player'' stats to others] in that round.
Replaced? ... hmmm murkey territory [see Wolfpacking ]
The nations ofc never leave a map.. its only the ownership [player or ai] of them that changes.

Got it -- I understand that. My major question was the timeline for "inactivity," which you have now definitively answered. Thank you for that. Only secondarily was I interested in the impact on game stats.Field Marshal Dan wrote:

FMD, I have been the game administrator several times, either in games I created or by default when the previous administrator was eliminated or became inactive. That said, I've never had occasion to remove or replace a player, and anyone who has gone inactive on my watch was done automatically by the lapse of time. Can you tell me where these game administrator functions are found, i.e., those to designate a player as "inactive"?

the map times and decides who is inactive. and it removes ALL inactives if the game admin clicks his button.

Wow. That's less than obvious. I feel like I've just been initiated into the secret society of wargamers. What other secret passages, passwords and trap doors are yet to be revealed?
BTW, FMD, thanks for the nice graphic. Sometimes a picture IS worth a thousand words.
