I switched to Firefox and it worked fine. Seems to be a recent issue with Internet Explorer.

research menu not loading
when I first started playing the game the research was working fine but 2 days ago the game was running everything but I couldn't get my research menu to load now and still wont load.

Hello,
As jamidan said, try another browser, if that still doesn't work please try and check if it works for you in other games, if it does but not for the that game it doesn't work in now, please report it in as a bug
