I was playing a internal game on the 50 player pacific conquest map with a friend of mine when suddenly all of his armies were revealed. I did not use any gold, and while I had spies in his capital, they were economic and military sabotage. does anyone know why this occurred? Thanks.

If you were to look at what the various spies can do, you should find that military sabotage spies will reveal all armies. You can find this by clicking on any province that you don't own. Click spies. Hover over all the spy options, including the gold options.

But I guess you used gold unintentionally, same has happened to me a few weeks ago, also at a 50 player map.
The espionage menu is very slow, and if you have it open and want to move the map or change the province, this click can touch a switch at the "Espionage Gold Menu" wich in cause of the delay is not yet shown but already opened in the background.
You can check it on the left at the Espionage headquarters, there it will be noted with the time if it happened so.
And if it was so, you should report it out of the game (click lower right the cog and then the bug symbol) and try to get your gold back.
The larger the map and the more units you see, the slower the espionage menu becomes.
On big cards you need a lot of patience ... 
But if he only has spies in the capital and the country is not very small then not all units can be revealed by these spies, cause they reveal only units in the province where they operate and in the directly adjacent provinces, or on sea if they operate in a coastal province.BRDubbs wrote:

Another possibility of course could be that he has Shared Intelligence with someone else on the map who has revealed all units. But I think that he probably would know then.
Therefore I think it happened as I described in the previous post.
There are only 2 people playing. Me as Colorado and him as Khabarovsk. my gold has not gone down either.

Was my post not clear? You said you had military sabotage spies. Those spies have the capability of revealing all armies.
Military Sabotage spies do not need to be in the capital to reveal army locations.
However, the more the merrier you may be
