Servers down for Maintenance 4th January [BACK UP]
Generals,
The servers are down for maintenance .. this should be for a short time only.
if the servers stay down for an extended period the Developers will be contacted for further information to pass along to users.
Thank you for your patience and my apologies that none of us were given any notice before the outage.
We are exasperated as well, regarding the server stability after it was relaunched,

I was able to get into my game. It seems to be just some lag.

This was not "scheduled" maintenance. In order to qualify as "scheduled" maintenance there would have to be a "schedule". If there was a schedule and they didn't bother to inform the moderators, what does that say about them? (insert your own insult) If there was a schedule and they didn't bother to stop what units were doing (freeze the server)what does that say about them?
I lost no units that I know of because of the outage. I don't think I did last outage or the outage before either. But the solution to the damage caused by server downtime is simple. There is no reason to not fix it. Freeze unit movement and combat and no one is going to get upset. You won't need to lie anymore. Your moderators won't need to lie for you.
Please. One simple thing. Freeze the server. Ok make it 2 simple things. If the server is actually ever down for scheduled maintenance tell us how long it will be down. Overestimate. Give yourself plenty of time. Then bring it back online exactly when you said you would.
If I were a moderator I'd be quitting. You couldn't pay me enough to do what they're doing.
