I'm having an issue on game 1,276,242 where one player is heavily fortified, on these forts are shadow troops that when you attack the region they fight back, they have no value at all and are invincible, at first i thought it was me but my ally has also sent me messages about it
These troops do not seem to move at all (although you can see his normal troop moving from time to time), it's on all his forts you approach and no this isnt from the spy reporting etc
Player in question is south west africa on the 100 player map

Troops in a fortress level2 are hidden from enemy. Hence, you can see that something is there, but not what is there.
You may be fighting a huge fortified army in a high level fort, making them pretty much invincible to conventional attack like storming the fort (think of i.e. Verdun in WW1).
To win this battle without enormous losses, you will have to change the way you attack a situation like this.

Hi, thanks for the reply
he has around 20 of these and all are the same, if he moves troops into a fort i can see the values on them but when they move off the shadow is still there, i've been hammering one fort with three railguns for two days now and nothing has dies from it, i've also sent best part of 10 rockets at it as well plus also lost 20+ troops attacking it
my ally first sent me a message about this but i thought it wasnt true to start with, then i started attacking myself
i'm training for nukes as this is the only thing i can now think of

The 'question-marked troops' mean there are troops. Due to fort level 2 or higher, just can't see what it is. I suggest bombarding him with whatever you got. I heavily rely on massive deployment of arty for taking forts.

Strategic bombers, artillery, and railroad guns are meant for situations like this.
