Solo player...yet the game has revealed all but I have not used any gold.

I'm playing in a game where there is only 2 players left in the game myself and my opponent, I currently have a reveal all screen on my single enemy player but I have not used the "reveal all" option which uses gold..., also he has reveal all on me without having used any gold (so he says and I believe him).. so now he knows everything I have and where everything is.. and I know what he has and where everything is..my sneak attack blown..my subs discovered !! what gives?? Does anyone know what causes this ? Is it a bug?

A spy on a military sabotage mission can reveal all troops. The best chance to get a reveal all is by putting 5 spies in a empty province where there are no buildings or resource production. This way the only thing spies can do is reveal all. The enemy or you can only see the actual situation at day change. If you move your troops afterwards they cannot see that anymore.
One must be careful to prevent such breaches in security.
Try hiring counter espionage spies in the province where you have noticed spy activity, or randomly put counter espionage spies around your territory to try and discover where they are at.

It's almost impossible to cover your land mass when you are expanding. If you see in the newspaper that someone tries to spy in a certain province then definatly put some counter spies there as most players don't change the location of their spies.
the best way I have found is to check the news to see if any sabotage has been reported. I use those locations to put counters in them.
