Ridiculous. Maybe age has to do with it. It is easy if you are now two generations from that era not to really feel the fear/hatred of Germans or understand that selecting a race of people and ideologically declaring them sub human and then proceeding to exterminate them is quite frankly abhorrent.

I think on the whole Germans get a bad rap but I didnt/dont really get the logic of the Jewish hatred thing. It is hardly if they had formed a major political threat to the German state.

Use the proper term for that era...it was Nazi, not the German people responsible for what happened.

No it was the German people. They voted for the NSDAP. Once in power Hitler manipulated the situation into a one party state. We dont refer to the USSR as the communists do we? No, Germany as a country term get away with it lightly. Always referred to as Nazi Germany as if the NSDAP were parachuted in as the advance guard from Skyro and the German people had nothing to do with it. The whitewashing of the Germans goes on, but not half as much as the whitewashing plus of the Japs. Perhaps if the Americans had had hundreds of thousands butchered at the hands of these monsters they might have acted differently. No it was all about getting US companies contracts to rebuild Japan with the subtle backdrop of a bulwark against communism.

As for Trump. Absolutely, if the Yanks vote him in then they are to blame for whatever ensues. The guy is a very real loon tune. The trouble is half the US want a Republican, that's fine but Trump is no Republican he is his own party - Trumpian.

No, the German people voted for Hitler. They put him in power end of. It wasnt an army coup and he then 'deposed' the leader he was elected ffs.

He then changed the electoral system but the people gave him the chance to do that.

The way they acted in Nanking against the Chinese was abhorrent and they were largely like that everywhere they invaded. Funny Spielberg never did a film about that.
