You should ask in support to contact you about that, there might be ongoing bug with account deleting, since it's not the first forum post I see about this same topic
Two Accounts
Hi, I created an account a long time ago, then stopped playing do to time constraints. I've recently picked up playing again but forgot I had an old account which is associated with my email address. I now cannot attach my email to my new account that I've been playing much more often. I realize the issue should be simple, just delete the old account right? Wrong I submitted a deletion request last month and the account was supposed to be deleted 4/30/22 but its still going strong while I continue to receive notifications that I need to attach my new account to an email........ Its been ten days..... I was wondering, could someone look into it? The account name is Boonedoggle. Id like to go back to playing the game on the computer but I receiving these notifications which stop you from playing.

Yeah, something like this has been mentioned before. Personally, I would make that old account my primary one(players with old join dates tend to look/are experienced) but I understand if that's not an option here. If the problem persists and nothing is done you can always use the link in my signature(below this message) to file a support ticket. Hope this helps.
