Maybe when you checked it the kills hadn't been updated. If I'm not wrong, they get updated every day at noon GMT+1.

Unit kill counts wrong
I have a stack of 5 nav bombers. The unit info window says they have a total of zero kills. But only yesterday, 4 of those nav bombers sank 5 cruisers, 7 destroyers and 6 ground regiments at sea. Clearly, the game is not keeping an accurate count of unit kills.

No, they are still wrong today.

It could be that the bombers' kill numbers are getting reset every day. I noticed today that my tac bombers list only one unit killed, which is presumably the one unit it killed today. But prior to today, those tac bombers killed a stack of units over the last few days.
