The last two games I’ve played, there seemed to be a lot of players that would become active again after being taken over by AIs. Is this a recent change?
I’ve only played six games and I didn’t last long enough in my first two games to notice this, nor did I notice in the third and fourth. I keep expecting to see the retire option only to see another player come back. It’s annoying.

One was actually a very experienced player. Checking out their profile, they had over 200 games and were playing as southern US on the 22 player clash of nations map.
I think they were just trying to be active at the end of the game for the gold payout. Checking the newspaper, he got 1,490 gold for only having seven cities; not bad…maybe he’s on to something there.
