I appreciate the sentiment. But I didn't even realize I had hit the Gold button. And, besides, I lost that match long before it was even "discovered" and I was informed by staff that I was being kicked from a match that I had already archived over a week prior.

I thought that was hilarious, but also scary, since I was worried at the time that maybe that staff member made a mistake on which match and that another match I was winning in might get me kicked even though I never used Gold in it. But, it turned out that the staff member didn't make a mistake and the match I was worried about turned out not to have restrictions against Gold like I thought.

Ironically, THAT was another match that I later lost but I only lost because I was stabbed in the back (as mentioned elsewhere in the forums) by primary coalition partner. And the very fact of getting back-stabbed showed me that my spidey sense was slipping a bit because that's the first time that's happened to me in about a year and a half.

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.
The saying, "beating them into submission until payday", is just golden...pun intended.

Has your "spidey sense" ever told you it's not cool to hijack every forum thread with your personal drama and self promotion?

Oh, no, not at all. My social skills aren't exactly what you might consider "top notch".

Though my drama is only occasionally listed...and perhaps inappropriately (that remains to be seen), I"m pretty sure it's quite alright to not be so modest when you actually have something to be proud of once in awhile.

I thought the map was to end on start of day 31. It is still going.

Dunno why, maybe they haven't got around to ending it yet.

at what time the new round will open?

and/or day?

Commenting on the game itself.

Great game, even with the patrol abuse - it was good to see that after a long heated discussion, all finally decided by gentlemans agreement to not use it. And I didnt see it happen since.

Some interesting approaches were seen - like Bighorrns 'landforces? nah, dont need em' strategy or Ace's 'I make railguns a viable unit' idea, lots of mistakes were made (my desk is red from all the headdesking, not in the least in regard to some of my own poor choices).

All in all, I think this was a match where some of the best players in the world (probably) participated, and that means this should be done more often.

Can you sign me up for the new round please

Mr Selfridge

I agree with the rules

Dr leprechaun

I no longer have the world in chaos 'sign up' option in my conversations. Please can you sign me up for the second round or direct me to where i can sign up.

Thank you

Is there a list of current standings somewhere?

and a other question:

The world map has double of victory points than the pacific and the america map. Did the both last maps victory points multiplied by two?

Did i miss this event :(

The first match started a long time ago. As far as I know, it's still going on and the second of three matches hasn't begun. If it has begun, then it began without me.

The 2nd match is in day 6.

Why wasn't I accepted? Was it the accidental Gold usage in the first match? That doesn't seem fair. It's not like I was trying to cheat. And I did get kicked from the first match, legitimately (albeit about a week after I already lost).

Apparently. Yes, it is a bit harsh.

Talk to dr. He can get u in

I repeat my earlier post

well I think u've been punished more than enough by being booted and losing those points.

In fact I think banning is way too harsh a punishment. There are chances of using gold by accident, some menus don't offer a confirm you want to use gold warning. To then lose a whole game's worth of time and effort is way over the top IMHO.

Game Operator needs to consider how much gold was used and then dish out a punishment that is appropriate to how much and how that gold was used.

Bans not only punish the gold user but also his coalition and those near him who all of a sudden have an AI that might go one or another. For example it can be aggressive or allow a neighbouring player to gain an advantage by fighting an AI and not a decent player.

Dr, You were informed 6 days ago on your thread that I was playing in round 2.

On Oct 16th.

i hope that will help with the score ...
