did you.. try talking to the player? Or @K.Rokossovski? A lot of times you can handle things by talking to other players, instead of flaming them.

Finland attacked me prior to the peace period concluding. That is a violation of the PL rules for this round. This rule break was done by the PL mod, so how can I possibly receive fair support on this matter, or compete fairly in the round.

Or was it maybe 4x time-game ?
PL is not a speed game.Sukaton wrote:

Mrs. Kinnick is wrong, the attack was initiated after day change, when the peace period ended.
The peace period was game-enforced, which means afaik that it is not even possible to violate it (no clicks on any of the other nation's territory is allowed).
Possibly this misunderstanding was caused by the fact that day change didn't occur on the exact hour it was supposed to happen, but 8 minutes early (0:52 CET).
Mrs. Kinnock has said several times that she has a screenshot which should prove my alledged violation, but she still hasn't posted it anywhere. Seeing this screen shot might shed some light on why exactly she thinks there was a violation, and clarify the situation further.
Also note that all games do not start on the hour. The times for day changes are staggered slightly around that hour, plus or minus a few minutes, to lower the overall server load. Always best to check the newspaper for day change.
Just did a survey of a few games that I am in. Day start times:
56
54
59
58
This is calculated by looking at the Game Info section of the newspaper and doing the math between the clock and when the paper says the next day change is.
I have to say, I had heard about this but now I will be looking for it more closely.
Those NAPs that end at day change actually can be ending a few minutes (up to 6 in my survey) before the hour.
That can make all the difference in setting up a battlefield.
The 'dithering' of day change times occurred well over a year ago. Approximately 2 years after it was suggested by yours truly on S1914. That and several other server load suggestions, including duplication of country flags/leader images in the diplomacy menu, micro-cons on EVERY espionage report.
Someday Bystro will catch up, but in their defense, many of the forum trolls appear to be just as slow on the uptake.
I would have been even happier if the "dithering" had been based on the actual game start time.
That 0 day would actually be 24 hours long and the start of the game should be random enough to avoid any strange server loads.
Of course, they may have a contract with the service provider that has them paying more during certain time frames (and less during others) that drives when they want to do game updates.
As for all those images, they should be stored locally. Why anyone would send that stuff out each time is beyond me.
F. Marion, I have read other threads where you have suggested this before. And if the primary goal is to reduce server load, it's still an excellent suggestion.F. Marion wrote:

Baroness, as K.R. pointed out, I don't believe it is possible to attack before the peace period established in the game settings. The game will not allow an attack or movement order directed into any neutral province.
I suspect what confused you is the fact that the first day (Day 1) is usually much less than 24 hours, as the game starts at an arbitrary time and then progresses to Day 2 at 7pm EST. So a "3 day" peace period might be only 50 hours. As soon as the newspaper says Day 4, you may be attacked.
PL server has a different day change time the the EN server.. Amateurs!
I also have the ulterior motive of having a game day change that is somewhat close to my normal waking hours. I figure the game creator should have _some_ home field advantage, right?MontanaBB wrote:
