- Is there a mandatory peace period for player versus neutral AI's?

THESE RULES ARE NO LONGER IN EFFECT
--------------------------------------------------
These are the Player's League rules for the 1st season of 2017 :
1) It is not allowed to leave a coalition, or kick people from a coalition. If this happens by accident, the original situation must be restored within 24 hours. Failing to do so will result in recieving ZERO points for the round of the leaving or kicking player; or, if the guilty party cannot be determined by the moderator, to BOTH players.
1a) Only exception to rule (1) is when a player has created a coalition, but noone else ever joined. In this case, he can disband this coalition and join a different one.
2) A coalition can have a maximum of three members.
3) At the end of the round, all players in a coalition earn an amount of points equal to (total amount of VP's for all coalition members PLUS coalition's achievement points) divided by (amount of players in the coalition), fractions are lost. Please note that inactive or destroyed players STILL count as "amount of players", they are both used in the division AND score points themselves.
4) Players that are not part of a coalition, or in a one-person coalition, simply score their own VP score + 10%.
5) Having a Right-of-way or Share-map with a player outside a coalition is forbidden. PLEASE NOTE: this also includes NPC's and inactives.
5a) Only exception to rule (5) are the former coalition members of an inactive player; they are still allowed to have RoW with the inactive player. Even though the inactive player is kicked from the coalition by game mechanics, he is still considered part of it for PL rule purposes.
6) As opposed to previous PL rounds, building of rockets and even nukes IS allowed;
7) GOLD USE IS FORBIDDEN!! Given our problems enforcing this rule, we will set EXTREMELY harsh rules for breaking them... If you are caught using gold, you will be banned from the PL for the remainder of the season, unless you confess in a PM to the moderator within 1 hour of doing it, and are willing to accept, and cooperate in executing, a penalty which will be severe enough to make sure you never do it again (like... healing one unit will cost you three).
NAP's and other diplomatic agreements (other than those in the rules above) are not a part of the official rules, and will not be enforced by the moderators.
9) Be respectful: Morale rule based on staff ethics, Bytro ethics, and normal social ethics.
10) Tech stacking (using the same unit type of different levels in the same stack) is NOT allowed. You can swap units with other players even if your tech levels differ, but you are NOT allowed to merge them into the same stack. Punishemnt will be that the whole stack is lost. Please note that this rule also includes "accidental" merges (units moving into the same province, for example); if you want to operate different tech levels, YOU are responsible for making sure that they don't merge.

Pete
1) and 2
Since this will be a short round, peace period is one day only.
3) no, coalitions can be formed and joined any time; you just cannot leave them. So be careful who you join up with!
Is the peace period 24 hours from start time posted in discussion, or does it end at day roll over from Day 1 to 2? There is roughly a 12 hour difference depending on how yo interpet.
So im playing in this map i started a coalition of Russian United and another country messaged me about joining but he thought due to the name i was only looking for russian team. So i re-read the rules and i changed the name to united countries because didnt state anything about name changed i kept the coalition just changed the name is that allowed i dont want to break any rules.K.Rokossovski wrote:

Please some information would be great
Thanks
Peace period is enforced by game mechanics (that's why it isn't in the rules for the league itself), start attacks when the game allows you.
Changing coalition name change is fine, rules are just about joining, and that it is a final choice for the round.
i didnt understand how the points will be calculated when the game ends, only top 3 will get points or how does it work and how many points every player will get?
No, all players get points. If you have a coalition with three players, and when the round ends they own 10, 10, and 40 VP respectively, all three players will get (10 + 10 + 40) / 3 = 20 points.
can we sign up for march and if so where
Apparently, this is the March sign up thread:
No, this is the rules thread)))F. Marion wrote:

Round-specific info for march:
1) Peace period is two days
2) Game will end DC 30-31 march.
One minor rule change:
If a player has created a coalition, but noone else ever joined it, he is allowed to disband it and join a different one.
will there be an April game ?
Yes, april sign-up has just opened. See the thread next to this one.
Game-specific info:
- Game will open some time when I get out of bed april 1st;
- Peace period is two days;
- Game will end DC 29th-30th april.
I also made some small changes to the rules, specifically:
- added rule 1a (already active for march, but couldn't find wherever the h*ck I posted that earlier)
- rule 2, maximum coalition members changed from 5 to 4.
- added rule 5a (already used by mod ruling in the march game)
Inactive players score points.K.Rokossovski wrote:

one of the main objectives of the players league used to be to encourage active players. what happened to that idea?
inactive usually means dead
The idea is that you work together in all respects... so even if you were destroyed, but your mates scored points, you are still enjoying the fruits of that.
I think it is fair the dead ones score points as well, the coalition failed, thus it would be unfair more the lone survivor to get all of the points for which the whole alliance fought
Edit: Eh, pls ignore this post.
By chance will the revised unit statistics and build costs be available in the May PL? This would be a great place to test them.
I seriously doubt it, unless mods can put us all on the pioneer map...
Say a coalition had 4 members, but one of those members is completely wiped out, leaving the coalition with 3. Is this coalition now eligible to recruit a new 4th member?
