Why did you use India and Pakistan in a comparison that favors one.. the can of worms has opened!
Also use RRG’s, since with their range they absolutely poop on AI.
Here are some helpful tips I made specifically for the Dominion: Antarctica map. Feel free to share yours as well.

... seems nooby.
But this player:

seems experienced.
Identify the experienced players early on, and either A) avoid combat with them as long as possible, or B) if they look weaker than you, attack them and take their (non-core) land.

Depending on your starting location, you may not want to build "fast" units.
Much of the map is hills and mountains, and there are a lot of units scattered around.
You are going to need artillery or rocket artillery to clear the way.
This is no different from a regular map... never use close combat to fight the AI.
I agree. Ranged is your friend here, you can exploit the AI with it so easily it’s not even funny. But with all their bunkers and spam, land combat is not worth it at all. You may still want some Mot and AC’s to scout and pick off units though, and an Air Force for helping against other players among other things.z00mz00m wrote:

I partly disagree with this... in the early game you want to get to the AI cities/bases ASAP, which necessitates melee combat with AI for the first few days until tac research finishes. Especially if you have a doctrine where tac research is not available on Day 1. Also most of the Corps AI units are unarmored, so regular arty wont do much to them.z00mz00m wrote:

Another thing to consider: You start out with 5 cities and 7 rurals, so resource production in this round will be noticeably slower than in regular rounds. That's why it's important to get to the cities as soon as you can (and round up as many of the Corps rurals as you can, those produce more resources than normal)
Can’t sacrifice your army for it though. Slow and steady wins the race; everyone has the same amount of resources as you. Keep your army strong, make arty and planes, take what you can, wipe out players, and consolidate, keeping the strongest army and gradually taking over the place. Maybe be a bit more aggressive but always smart.Brando Dilla wrote:

I'm doing just fine, my stacks of ~4 inf + 2 AC (and some arty + LT around) have won me 7 provinces, 5 unit kills and I haven't lost a unit. Most of the Corps stacks are single units so they're easy to destroy. I haven't even produced 1 tac yet.Carking the 6th wrote:

When you get to the cities, especially the ones with RRG’s and bunkers, you’ll need Ranged. Unless the AI is dumb and leaves the city…
Or you can lure most of the AI out of the city by artying it from a different road (usually the AI will give chase and only leave like 1 or 2 units in the city)Carking the 6th wrote:

Exactly, arty is ranged.Brando Dilla wrote:

I just said that regular arty doesn't have much use on this map, especially in the early game. But RA works just fine.
When you take an AI city, there's nothing stopping the player next to you from taking it away from you. Unless you have a strong army with enough ranged units to defend what's yours. In fact, go out and clear all the rural provinces in the area, fight every AI unit, exhaust yourself.
You see the problem? There's no advantage in being first to lose HP.
Exactly. You have to combat melees worst enemy: defensive unit spam. The best counter for this is ranged. You get to keep your melee forces to fight players, and the ai are taken care of.z00mz00m wrote:

And that's why let the opponent AI and players weaken each other right? Stratagems 9 and 24.z00mz00m wrote:

Absolutely, and shell the strongest one from a distance, to prolong the battle, so they destroy each other completely.
Pull the old NATO Iran-Iraq war move of supporting who ever seemed to be losing! Genius!z00mz00m wrote:

Yes, the game is about doing all the worst things that a country should not do in real life.
Invest heavily in the military. Invade neighbors to get lebensraum. Territory is security. Destroy your opponent before he can become a threat. Get everyone to distrust and fight each other. Keep growing, a day without war is a wasted day. Force conquered people to work for you, station military in their cities to make sure they don't get any ideas about independence. There is only one goal: total and complete world domination, at any cost. Nukes are a viable weapon.
Bombarding cities into the ground until their people revolt against their own homeland in hopes of finding salvation elsewhere, only to be destroyed when you invade that country anyway! Gaining from nuking and bombing cities into oblivion, surprise attacking with no war declaration, attacking vulnerable units with no warning in international waters, the list goes on!z00mz00m wrote:
