Here are some helpful tips I made specifically for the Dominion: Antarctica map. Feel free to share yours as well.
Stack your starting inf. Don't send single inf units to attack enemy provinces, in most provinces the AI start with a unit. Remember that all the enemy AI are Axis doctrine, so grouping is very important, especially if you are a Comintern nation.
Head for the cities. The cities in the enemy corps produce more resources than normal cities, so get as many as you can. It is a good strategy to assemble a stack of 10 units and head for the nearest city, not worrying about any provinces that might be left undefended along the way.
Naval is useless. Don't build it. Other players' bases are impenetrable, so you cannot bombard them.
Strats and NBs are also useless. Remember, players' starting area is impenetrable.
Use fast units. Since you want to get to the bases as soon as possible, prioritize units like mot. inf, AC and LT in the early game.
Air combat is almost essential, especially when taking out the bases. All the bases start with advanced units like RR guns and SPRA, so even sending regular arty is a bad idea. Make sure you scout provinces so you know what's in them before you attack.
Ally with players. Early on in the game it should be easy to tell which players are good and which are not.
For example, this player:
... seems nooby.
But this player:
seems experienced.
Identify the experienced players early on, and either A) avoid combat with them as long as possible, or B) if they look weaker than you, attack them and take their (non-core) land.

Invest heavily in the military. Invade neighbors to get lebensraum. Territory is security. Destroy your opponent before he can become a threat. Get everyone to distrust and fight each other. Keep growing, a day without war is a wasted day. Force conquered people to work for you, station military in their cities to make sure they don't get any ideas about independence.
In my headcanon the World at War map is sometimes a post-depression worldwide Warlord Era, so this makes sense.

When you win, the newspaper describes the events as an age of hunger and corrupt leaders finally ended by you. It sounds like a warlord winning and uniting the nation.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but can anyone summarise, I just joined an Antarctica as Greece.

Use arty and planes. Don't attack at first, the AI is strong. Go for AI capitals. Remember you can't take other players' cores.
Have a blessed day <3

Also, it's very grindy, so be prepared to fight very long battles, since you can't take others' cores. Also, strats won't really work since you can't even attack cores. Tanks are also pointless, no plains except on the coast (which isn't where you want your troops anyways).

If very grindy. The AI doesn't give up and the players can't lose cores. They just turn AI and then all haunt you forever.

And a couple really good players who actually know what their doing (unless you're lucky, then your lobby will be 100% inactive)
