So I am in a four player game and the player on my team is inactive. what can be done ? can he be kick and allow anew player to join before I lose the game because it is 2 against 1. :wallbash I know other players who join to replace the inactive player if the slot was freed up.

The Game Admin (one of the players in the game) can kick inactive players.

This will free up the inactive spots for new players.

I would go to the paper in the game and lay out the situation. The other two players should recognize that a 2:1 situation is boring for everyone and support getting a fourth player in the game.

To figure out who is Game Host, each of you need to click on your name (upper left corner in the map) and see if you have the "Game Admin". That button allows the removal of inactive players. Get the Game Host to use it.

FYI, the Game Host is initially the player who started the map. If that player goes inactive, the game system randomly selects another player. There is no connection between the Game Host position and the moderators or game maker.

I believe it is the player with the most points at that moment, not completely sure though.
When the enemy is driven back, we have failed. When he is cut off, encircled and dispersed, we have succeeded.

That's been my experience that the player with the most points (most current victory points, i.e., current game leader) will be automatically selected as the replacement game host, although one might argue it would be better if it were the most experienced player who was selected. I have been a game creator 4 or 5 times, and a replacement game host another 6 or 7 times, and I've always tried to be open and fair with other players. I have never seen a game creator/administrator/host try to blatantly use the position for advantage, but I have certainly read a few negative anecdotes about such situations in the forum.

okay I am the game host- how do I remove the inactive player? sorry for being dense on this but I have looked and cant figure it out. :(

Click on your player name in the upper lefthand corner of the game screen -- it should take you to the game administrator screen. Follow the menus from there.

One caveat: you will not have the option of selecting individual inactive players to remove. You must remove ALL inactive players, or none.

thanks Montanabb, I had to figure out to push the button that said GAME ADMN then the menu pops up.

De nada, jefe.

One more thing - you can search game admin (diplomacy-button, then click to put order of points, admin usually has lots), click (i)info and it reads on right with small font. If someone knows better method of finding admin, please advise !

Peaceful sleep for u in death X/ when I grab your lands !
