Italy isn't really a major. Also, I'd say Fr*nce can defend against Germany after day 3-4 with enough artillery. I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before and we disagree on this. IMO it's the last major to be grabbed because of stigma due to WW2 rather than anything else.

Italy is definitely a major, they have 8 cores (like most other majors) were historically considered one and can do pretty well every time they are active.
