HWW German Empire decides to attack USA but he was sharing maps with me knowing that USA and I were allied. He starts stacking off Ponte Delgado 2 days before this encounter. I go dark and head north. (I’m Mexico… crappy country to start with). I’m building lvl 2 NBs as my ships are moving stacking and researching lvl 3s. Upgraded them on the carrier flight decks and found him with my scout plane. I barely got a scratch he lost everything. Italy attacked Germany 1 hour into the massacre. He was empty and in a day he was completely wiped out.
Just on principle you should always kill unescorted transports. What a dummy.

30 min before all units dead.
For you that is the sexiest thing on Earth, for the Germans, they want to use that gun.
Why would anyone send a stack of 84 units? at least upgrade the convoys or something. Get a carrier group with naval/bombers and ints.
I had such a failure once in my game as Germany (no joking) and I sent a majority of my airforce across the atlantic to New york which I had recently captured. They got through without trouble. Later Italy declared war, and I decided I should bring the bombers back. About when the convoy crossed Newfoundland, one of battleship stacks attacked an italian stack with unknown composition. I suffered damage in the 300s of HP. Later the same italian stack destroyed my air force convoy.NickXXXNick wrote:

Beats the shit out of me. I’m OCD with escorting transports and I level them up early and often especially on big maps and big invasions. When I saw it first he has 6 lvl 3 subs as escorts. Not enough for my bombers and destroyers but enough to allow a possible escape. But when I found it again. Nothing. Just lvl 1 transports all alone south of Nova Scotia - 110 of them.ChessSamurai1999 wrote:

I did have a noob attack a 7 stack of ACs and Infantry with a fighter in a truck once so, I guess what we take as obvious isn’t so obvious?
Oviousness is subjective I guess lolNickXXXNick wrote:

We’ve all have been hung out with invasion forces. I even contemplated letting Germany get half way into disembarking before attacking. Then I looked at the math and realized I needed to strike right away. But, the game has these certain pressure points that are great when you exploit them and horrible when an enemy uses them against you.Nobodyx2 wrote:

Like CK said. Killing 100 German units as Mexico was ecstasy. For Germany, not so much.
I have a moral imperative to kill unescorted transports. It’s that obvious. I have to refrain from attacking allies when they just throw units into the sea willy nilly.Nobodyx2 wrote:

Damn, I also killed 70 naval units all in one go.
Reached 3400 points and guess what, lost that WaW.
What sort of blunder did you do to lose?!
