wait for the next supply drop, or tell the ally to trade the province
1939 HWW || Supply Drop captured by Ally
Hello.
I am playing as British India, allied with United Kingdom. I had a supply crate suddenly appear in the enemy French Asian Colony.
Unfortunately my ally had captured that province almost immediately of that supply drop appearing.
What to do?

Hello, will trading the province help? Will I get the supply drop if we trade the province?
No
Ok nvm, I cant trade. So I will just wage a temporary war.
Thanks Claudio.
I'm fairly certain trading the province will not give you credit for the supply drop. IIRC that used to work but I think I remember that changing at some point. I haven't tested it so I hope someone else can confirm.
Its good that your teammate is willing to let you take it via a temporary war--the supplies are definitely worth it.
It never worked. Trading provinces does not give you the supply drop.jubjub bird wrote:

My bad then, sorry
I've had some luck sharing the spoils with the owner of the supply drop.
It's only fair.
They are going to lose production from that province while it recovers morale.
There's also a one-time resource theft that goes with taking the province.
There's also the cost of taking the land back. That unit could be doing something useful.
Splitting the supply drop 50/50 makes sure everyone walks away happy.
no you canβt trade for it. Just tried and it didnβt work. Guess I should have read further down. Nuts!
What if the Supply Drop results in a Blueprint?z00mz00m wrote:

You can't split anything
(Sorry, I am late )
I've had all the blueprints for a long time, so it's not an issue for me.
But in general, you're right, if you get a blueprint you should still offer the target some kind of compensation.
Thank you (and especially freezy) for this thread. There's another player in my current game urging me to trade provinces with a third player rather than attack and offer to give back the province after getting the drop. I asked about this in the help chat and the answer from the mods was what freezy says -- you can't get a supply drop by trading for province.
