ཞི་བདེ།! A Tibet HWW Playthrough

On a whim I joined a Tibet game, having not played in a solid year.

I expected Tibet to be puny, but not this puny. The soon to be glorious nation starts with 7 lvl 2 reservists, 2 aged field guns, and 1 lvl 1 infantry. The new Dalai Lama has issued orders for modernization of all military forces! First, Proper guns will be researched, followed by modern infantry. In the morning, the militia will be advanced to make the most of what Tibet has.

The plan is as follows:

1) Industrialize Tibet

2) Reclaim the land that is ours in China

3) Restore Buddhism to India

4) Bring peace to the world

Fortunately, one ally has appeared: Japan

With a short communication, the Dalai Lama and the Prime Minister agreed on...something.

China also requested friendship and unceremoniously gave right of way, however this was ignored

Currently, the Dalai Lama plans to first industrialize the Nation. The first orders were to upgrade industry in all cities and produce modern units. With peace on the horizon of the first few days, military expansion should not be a major concern.

My father once said this: “If you don’t know anything, don’t assume you know and don’t say anything you don’t know is true”
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it
Have a good day!

You missed a lot Zakkty, he's been around for quite a while

I was thinking of doing a Tibet playthrough but looking at how good this is I might have to do something a bit different. A Poland survival horror round, perhaps. Or Australia.

Keep it up, I'm enjoying this playthrough. I'm curious to see how long you will survive though.

One nitpick though:

With a larger military, the Dalai Lama laid sights on Nepal and Bhutan. As buddhist states, they should welcome the arrival of Tibetan forces...
To the best of my knowledge, Nepal is majority Hindu, is it not?

The Buddhists mostly moved in after China invaded/reclaimed Tibet in 1950.

Does anyone know how to add larger images? Whenever I try to pop in anything bigger than a unit pip it gets bounced with a 'too large' error. That's why I've not got many maps.
Yeah this was a problem in my Red China playthrough:

What I did is I copied screenshots onto Microsoft Paint, cropped off everything unnecessary, and then shrunk it (usually to 70% or even 40%).

If you have an IBM that is. Mac IDK, you might consider doing something else to condense them.

Aeroplanes are interesting toys but of no military value.
— Marshal Foch
A pretty mechanical toy [...] the war will never be won by such machines.
— Lord Kitchener, on tanks

Turns out I won. :D

No photos available unfortunately. From my memory, I bulldozed through asia, going for the solo win. I reached the baltic coast and there were three players left: me, Brazil, and Sweden. Sweden hadn't attacked anyone the whole game, so I thought just a semi-inactive. Woke up one morning to see the army from hell unleashed. Quickly learned Sweden was a hard-core golder who had been waiting for me to expand too much and steal my land. I vastly outplayed them in terms of casualties, but still got pushed back. In the end, coalitioned with Brazil to get the win.
