AI given me ROW

I'm very unpopular, accidentally started 2 surprise wars and have invaded 9 countries so far.

I'm playing as Turkey and since early on Ukraine gave me ROW. Ukraine is now AI.

Romania (also AI) hates me so I'd like to take him out and travel through Ukraine to get to him.

I'm worried though if I move a large army through to attack Romania would my popularity with Ukraine drop and they might attack me while I'm a bit exposed at the back. I'd be attacking from where Cossack or Caucasus used to be.

Do AI ever take back ROW or am I safe enough to assume they won't attack me?

Cheers

I've had AI nations take away RoW while I held troops within their land, however, it's rather uncommon. Try to keep up the individual popularity with that nation high, and you should be good.

Will just have to take him out then :-)

actually hope you don't mind another question -

I'm in a coalition with a guy who is doing nothing basically. Asked him for help to tackle a big opponent , he didn't bother answering and went to attack ireland instead.

I'd hope to have enough points for a solo victory in 2 or 3 days.. can I leave the coalition just before the day updates and give him the two fingers or how does that work?

Yes, definitely. If you can win solo that easily then go for it, as he doesn't deserve a win.

Yes, it updates at day change. I've actually united one match in S1914 like that. 3 people were still alive, including me. The two others were at war with each other, however, I was close allies with both. I arranged with both of them individually to join my coalition that I would make on a certain day. I managed to get the three of us a coalition win, with almost 90% of the points if not more. Pretty nice. Two of us would have been enough to finish the game, and for a short while only two of us were in the coalition, yet it didn't count as a win until day change, and by that time, everyone joined. Now that I reread this, I have realized that it doesn't really relate to the question at all, but I feel it's just too cool to remove. Basically, my point is, yes, if you leave the coalition right before day change you will win when it happens. Feel free to throw any questions you have at me. I'll do my best to answer them.

just said I'd update in case somebody else ever looks for an answer to this.

My allie attacked ireland and western Sahara while I was at war with Romania, yugoslavia, Poland, Greece, Italy and Libya.

I knew I had 700 points coming up to the update while he had 210.

910 would have given the coalition victory so I left half an hour before the update and claimed a solo victory.

Morale of the story.... don't sit back and expect someone else to win a game for you :D
