airfields and navals

Can anyone tell me why when i attacked an airfield containing like 10 naval bombers and interceptors with a rocket the airfield now has 1of 5 hit points

the real question is how can his planes still fly and take my units down ?

am i supposed to take the whole airfield down or what ?

As far as I know, In order to disable an airfield you do have to completely remove all of it's hitpoints. Rockets are great for this, maybe try to send another one and then the planes should be unable to fly.

i tried, in a recent game i dealed half damage to an airstrip lvl 1 and it completely immobilized the ppanes on top of it
