Question is:
which one is cheaper if we have allies doctrine?
1. produce LVL 1 unit, then wait until you research max level and upgrade unit then.
2. Wait until you research max level and directly produce max level unit.
You're always better producing low level units then upgrading them. Even with advanced production facilities, the time it takes to produce advanced units is prohibitive. This will maximize use of your facilities.
However, I don't like the allied doctrine, so my opinion here should be taken with that in mind. However, I feel compelled to point out, Allied production times are also reduced.
Interesting with allies both strategies work, don't mind too much about this. On this regard allies doctrine is the most confortable because You don't have to worry too much About researching the max lvl of units. There is something there to help You.
