No.

Sherman Calliope was a modified Sherman, thumbnail for British Medium Tank. Look at the Self-Propelled Gun Artillery too. Same thing happening.

The whole idea of SPRA comes from the Comintern set; it is the famous Katyusha; basically a large number of rocket launchers mounted on an (unarmored) truck. The allies never used these in large numbers (nor the Japanese and Axis for that matter), and developers had to pick SOME unit that most closely resembled this idea; they came up with the Caliope. It was never widely used in the war though, I had never even heard of it before it was introduced in this game. Apart from the Soviets, only the Germans used a non-mobile multiple rocket launcher (called "Nebelwerfer") in significant numbers.
