How can you counter anti-tank spammers?

I am taking of the US of A and he is spamming Anti-tank guns.

How can I counter them?

For every Anti-tank gun that attacks me, it destroys 2 heavy tanks.

Help?

PS. He has max-level anti-tank guns

And if your opponent is not embedding his anti-tank regiments with infantry and anti-aircraft regiments, they are easy prey for tactical bombers flying in wings (a.k.a. "stacks") of 5 squadrons each.

What other types of units is your opponent including in his formations with his AT units? Can you provide unit types, and numbers of each type?

Noob, he is probably spamming anti-tanks, because you are spamming light tanks. Use infantry, tac bombers, and defense (light tanks attack at about half-power). If you can, try to manuvure around his anti tanks because they are pretty slow. But mostly STOP USING TANKS FOR EVERYTHING! They are the some of the best units in the game, but it is easy to beat a player who is over-reliant on them.

I don't thing using artillery is the most cost effective strategy against anti-tank. They dont have as great stats attacking armor. Much better against someone who spams infantry.

FYI, while the anti-tank regiment is listed under the armor tech tree, AT units are in fact members of the "infantry" class -- check the little infantry icon next to it on the unit spec sheets. And so are the conventional (i.e. non-self-propelled) anti-aircraft and artillery regiments. And AT, AA and arty units all have fewer hit points than an infantry regiment, so arty does just fine when bombarding AT, AA and other arty units when compared to bombarding infantry units. It's important to know.
