Attack of the Aircraft Carriers!
*****Disclaimer: This is going to sound incredibly stupid at first*****
Has anyone ever tried attacking straight on with a carrier? As in sailing it straight at the enemy. Would this work? And even more so would it be cost effective?
Here's how I got this insane idea
I was playing a 1.0 game and saw the incredible defence stats of a nuclear carrier (25 for ships). I checked out the stats for 1.5 and (we're assuming all units are elite) carriers have 16 attacking ships compared to the 13 destroyers have....and both don't have range plus carriers have more hp. Does this mean that attacking with carriers (assuming there is no subs that they are against) is entirely feasible?

if those are the numbers than there may be a situation where that may be right, but a CV is such a bigger investment in resources and time that I can't imagine you'll do well with this as a strategy.

I have actually done this before! I created a fleet of 15 max lvl Carriers as USSR and slammed USA, miraculously i wiped out most of his atlantic navy (Mainly destroyers, maybe 1 cruisers) and unbelievably one of my full health carriers beat a damaged sub ( altho i think it had like 5 health left) surviving with 0.8 hp.
All my carriers were sunk tho and that was a bust

so u mean you are going to use the aircraft carrier like how the germans were going to use Graf zepellin?
