Attacking aircraft using land units

In a game in which I am currently participating, I have encountered an enemy interceptor landed at an airfield. It is in aircraft rather than convoy form, but is not airborne.

It is too far from my airstrips for me to launch an airstrike, and all artillery units are elsewhere. All I have nearby is 1 militia and 1 anti-air. Both units' stats have a blank for offensive attacks on aircraft.

Were I to attack them, what would reasonably happen? Would I be able to defeat the plane itself, or would I have to capture the airfield to make it turn into a convoy and then attack?

Planes can't protect a province so you will take the province, the airbase will be destroyed and the plane will turn into a convoy truck. A convoy truck is classed as light armoured units.
