It could be rivaled by the US late game, though with good enough strategy you can win with any country. Unless you're Poland, then you need REALLY good strategy. And you don't have an island paradise to escape to like the Netherlands.
It would be the USA in my opinion. Your guranteed to win all the time due to its op economy and industrial powerhouse. You'll definitely have the largest army by day 20. You need to watch out for neighbors in early game, try to ally with them instead.

Venzusula is pretty easy too because will rarely get attacked by anyone. Eventually, you will be able to build a large army.

but uncle sam is coming from north
But uncle sam normally will fall asleep because:
a. Uncle Sam starts with few units leading to boredom
b. Uncle Sam is slow as he needs to build lots of statues to Jim Washingson
Germany: requires most time in first few days but by far the most fun because you get to wreck all your neighbors
USA: easiest country to play in beginning because you go for Canada early then Mexico who are both weak and then go through central america to south america. can be tough though if South America makes coalition to fight you
Japan: i dont like japan because both times i played it it got really boring, you end up just moving slowly through asia or sailing all the way to USA it just takes a long time and germany is better if you want to wreck neigbors and usa is better if you want big navy.
UK: i dont like UK either because its spread out so hard to make big army plus germany is big by the time you take out a small country already, most UKs go afk because of this I think
USSR: ussr is hard to start as but more fun than usa becuase you are in europe which means more battles. you are weak in east though so you can die if small countries team up against you
Canada: i try canada once i didnt like because you have to destroy usa early or he will destroy you and if you ally with him you will probably end up invading afk ussr which takes like the whole game
Poland: poland is the best country in this mode. jk dont play poland it dies day 1
Italy: italy is kinda boring because you are not so powerful so you dont get a massive army to destroy your neighbors.
France: you can play france like germany except if germany is skilled and wants to attack you you will die even if you get allies nearby
Australia: camp all game and farm gold but die to japan sometimes
