Its kinda obvious that they're still working on it and the upcoming is just a test; pretty much everything can change

From what I've seen the only real point against these changes is "I like the old system better; change bad"

...The old version is much better than the new ones, were you around when the first playtest came around? Doesn't seem like too much has changed with 1.5 playtest 2, but we'll have to wait and see. But there's no reason to "fix" or change something that doesn't need changing, make another version of the game, or allow users to choose both. Don't force everyone to play a new game that is arguably a more worse version than it's predecessor. Some will like the simplistic changes to the game, and some will hate it. I'm in the hate group, I prefer the harder, more complicated version of this game, it's what makes it fun, no reason to dumb it down in order to open it up to a younger audience.

We changed alot from Event 1 to Event 2, and we will keep changing or adding alot still. There are more Test Events to come.

How about playtesting the second Event and giving feedback what exactly you don't like and why. This way you can help to shape CoW1.5 for the better.

I will say this, for FrontLine pioneer, will you allow us to create our own game for 1.5 so we can test it, along with multiple games, and make sure the interactions and new mechanics work?

1.5e2 is a special event with all games starting this weekend, and the games are timed. This allows everyone to experience the game at the same time, and everyone can give feedback during the next several weeks.

After the time limited games end and feedback is submitted the developers can make adjustments based on the feedback in a controlled way. I am sure there will be a lot of feedback to be discussed and analyzed. Having all the feedback together at one time allows a better analysis and discussion.

If users were able to create this anytime then feedback would be scattered and harder to determine useful feedback from the background noise, particularly if you have feedback about things that have already been discussed.
