Yes you can earn gold by doing offers or taking surveys just click on the icon that has the gold bar with the plus sign and then go to the earn premium currency tab.

I signed up with hulu and got bookoo gold. Was pretty much burned out on netflix anyway

Is it the gold icon next to the money icon at the top? I don't see any surveys or offers.

They have since got rid of the gold offers and now have achievements to get gold.
