It's been a while since I created coalitions, but common names include: "Racoons" (with my pfp as flag) and "Iron Cross" (self-explanatory). I often go for some serious stuff in coalition description, but I have forgotten what I would usually write. Now, say I were to create a coalition today. Given my recent influence from anime, I would likely name my coalition "Raphtalia Cult", a reference to Raphtalia from Shield Hero, a half-racoon, half-tanuki demi-human. Flag-wise, I honestly don't know what I would choose.
Yes, I give quite some attention to coalition name, flag, and description. Yes, I get annoyed when I see coalitions with no flags or a dumb/cliché description. And yes, I would likely continue this attitude for some time in the future.

So if you take USSR the name of your coalition is "USSR" as it is written in the original Russian ? I would not trust a coalition whose name is the same one as one of the members.

Would you trust a coalition that has emoji flags? I once found a coalition that had emoji flags for each of its members.

My coalition names are usually pretty simple. For example, the game I am playing right now, the name that I gave my coalition was African Federation.

The one coalition I made(playing as Thailand on the 50 player Pacific map) was called the Pacific Partnership.
