Destroy Rockets Over the Sea

There is sea between me and my enemy he has a lot of level 4 rockets railguns ınterceptors he doesnt have any naval unit

Firstly I thought build a few aircraft carrier so I could bombard his units and I could escape quickly but I examined info of rocket and I saw 30 damage for ships can they hit the ships ? I tried to hit a moving unit with rockets unit took 0 damage rockets cant hit moving units ?

what can I do to attack him ? there is a few country between us Should I wait until have a border with him ? or attack with aircraft carriers from sea at night secretly ?? my tactical bombers are full level

If he has level 4 rockets then you were smart to build carriers.

Rockets can't hit a moving target. When rockets are ordered to attack they target the specific coordinate where the enemy unit was at the time of targeting. Any unit can easily move away from the target zone in just a few minutes. So ALWAYS keep your carriers moving and you will be successful.

I always recommend using patrol for bombers instead of direct attacks for the reason of rockets, but carriers are a much better option.

Build some cruisers to put with your carriers so if he tries to attack with planes he will lose more planes.

The element of surprise is always best. ;)

Yes, rockets can hit ships. That said, if you keep your naval units in constant motion, they are virtually impossible to hit with conventional rockets. Be aware, however, that nuclear rockets have a much larger blast radius (50 km), and a near miss by a nuke can and will destroy naval units within that radius.

I have a another question about rockets there is a enemy army including 20 enemy unit together with anti airs commandos I dont want to attack with my tactical bombers and I cant use my rockets because enemy unit is moving how can I attack to him ?? should I use my a few units to hold constant him and send rockets ?? Can I hit them ?? and rockets give damage to friendly units ??

Yes. Tackle him with some of your units and let the rockets fly. My rough guess is one enemy unit killed per rocket level. So a level 2 rocket will kill 2 enemy units, A level 3 rocket will kill 3 enemy units, and so on.

Level 1 rockets will likely be shot down by the antiair. Level 2 and up can't be shot down.

No. There are remarkably good friendly fire controls for 1942. Pinpoint accuracy so you will only damage the enemy, not yourself or allies with rockets, or artillery for that matter.

Nukes however are different. The blast radius of a nuke is 50 km, and it will vaporize anything in that radius. friend and enemy both.

To compare, artillery range is 60 or more KM.

Thanks for all answers I sent 8 rockets ( level 3 ) enemy army were including units from every type (heavy, medium tanks, railguns, anti airs, commandos ) I hold them with 4 ınfantry and 1 tank destroyer with level 2 fortress

results I destroyed 14 units enemy anti airs and commandos are still alive I'm afraid to send my tactical bombers but ıt seems I need to send them

Caveat: conventional rockets do have a limited blast radius, and they can hit and damage slow-moving units if the rocket's flight time is relatively short. You're probably never going to hit a fast-moving armored car brigade or mechanized infantry regiment, but you may hit and damage a slow-moving unit like a railroad gun, militia, conventional infantry, artillery, AA or AT, if the rocket has a short flight time of only 5 to 8 minutes. Of course, the relatively limited amount of damage inflicted by a rocket near-miss on most units may cause you to consider whether it's worth using the rocket. As an example, I've used three rockets to kill a single AA regiment when I had no other defending units available, but that's a very expensive way to defend your territory. One notable exception, however, is conventional (non-SP) artillery, which only have five hit points per regiment ---- which means a single rocket might actually kill 1 or 2 moving arty regiments outright.
