Thank you. Someone once asked me how I won as Latvia once (in coalition) and really I could not remember very well, so I wanted to repro the feat - if any possible - so I could explain.
To be honest, in this case, it is due a lot to, in no particular order,
1. Major players dropping out of the game,
2. Surrounded by inactives,
3. Australia carrying the coalition,
4. The rest of the coalition being active,
5. USA and Canada accepting to kickstart me (1 city => 4 cities 24 hours before the end of the peace time)
6. The peculiarities of meso-america : almost everything that matters is in range of battleships
Well, it ain't won yet, and the other coalition looks skilled, so we will see.
With Latvia, I rememver I managed to join a coalition with Sweden who himself managed to get Germany in his coalition, though really Sweden carried everyone, and Soviet Union was both active and totally incompetent (which is better than AI controlled) so I managed to snatch a lot of his cities immediately after taking Lituania & Estonia. Beyond that, it was a blank.
