I prefer color myself. But on huge maps with lots of AI that attack some may have a hard time remembering it all I guess.

I just don't get people that don't use this mode. Like, can you not remember who are your allies and who are your enemies?
Let's say you have three allies bordering each other, and three enemies bordering each other, and there is border gore. It's really hard to tell which provinces belong to which nation!
ALSO, having just 3 colors on the map is pretty boring if you ask me. Bytro color coded the countries for a reason!

I prefer not to, as the tan or green looks more realistic.
I prefer nation colours. Diplomacy colour is too monotonous.
Sometimes morale colours is useful as well, as it shows which provinces have been recently conquered
99% of the time I use nation colours, but sometimes use diplomatic colours when hunting for tiny enemy islands, (red contrasts well with the ocean, so easier to find). Morale map is interesting, I shud use it more
I always use Relations.

Same, I like to play with both relations and color_Pyth0n_ wrote:

Morale view is a good overlay. I use it sometimes.
Maybe a "Doctrines" overlay would be a good idea for a new one?
I use all of them. My usual is diplomatic because all I really care about is friend VS foe. 2nd most often is nation colors, usually only circumstantial like differentiating between allies or if I'm fighting a multi-human coalition and need to know which of them is going where. Morale is least used, only turning it on when I want to see who is expanding quickly or to gauge activity levels, then turning it back off.
I never use color, must stay professional, no?
A true world leader would already know his countries relations with all other nations, and could use the simple token of identity that is their normal color in order to make things look nice!
Exactly!
Bah, the map looks nicer without color
I disagree...

The only thing that matters is that you enjoy it. You want it. It doesn't matter if it's functional or not. It's function is just an excuse for your liking it.
