Drawbacks to Right of Way

Are the any clear or hidden drawbacks to giving a player you may not trust right of way when you share a difficult border. I understand it would let him or her walk through your territory without causing a color change to provinces to alert you. What else?

Does it show him your map and where all your units are?

Are their tactics that expert players and expert backstabbers use when they have right of way?

Thanks in advance.

No, share map does that.

They move their units onto your cities, the declare war, so all of you cities are captured, so you can't produce more units, and your resource production will suffer.
