I worry countries near me attack me. I see in Trade Embargo, it says ""Only opposing armies that try to enter your territory will be fired upon. Trading through the stock market is not possible". Will they be fired upon if they attack me? 
You seem new, Trade Embargo means they dont trade with you, it doesnt mean anything. For example, If I attacked you and I had trade embargo on you, it wont have any differenceHeongost wrote:

I would suggest you try to eliminate neighbors as fast as possible if they all have trading embargo with you because that means if you attack one more country they would probably attack you.
set your inactive/ ai to Row or maps early on especially on the smaller boards... will slow how fast they embargo and attack you is what I find... try not to be overly aggressive in attacking..
It is exactly as the same as peace just no trading through the market. I would advise you to be careful as bots who give you this will often attack you if your popularity goes down further.Heongost wrote:
