No they're not. They're a secret weapon for increased monetization. Serious players obviously refuse to use them.

I do not want to use them, they look like a tow truck. Armored cars for life.

Convoy them and use them as meat shields for other seaborne or naval units. Or stack with 9 subs as commerce raider bait.

I’m just stockpiling them. Haven’t used them yet to be honest… once I run into a golder though…
