I think we all learned at the start of the game that expanding too much gets you puppeted by the USA after being trade embargoed by the entire world. Unlike you (clearly) I can see that Germany's relentless expansion ultimately cost it the war irl. Also, about Belgium. Basically what happened is that France declared war on me. France also had units stationed in Belgium, and a railroad gun that I had behind my units on the Maginot line opened fire on it automatically, also accidentally causing damage to Belgian units and so was taken as a Casual Belli.
