Recently finished a private match, 22 player as Italy with no other players except AI. I came first yet I did not get and gold as a reward? Do only 100 player maps give you gold? If that is how it works that is ridiculous, because not everyone can win a 100 player map which prompts you to buy gold with real money. Also do you get gold from coming 1st second or third of set match?

There is a minimum number of STARTING players required for each map to be "ranked" and be eligible for any winning prizes. If you played the whole map solo, it doesn't qualify. You can check this when joining a new game, it says how many players are still needed to make it ranked.
